Plans for 67-bed care home in Haywards Heath given unanimous approval

Haywards Heath Town Council and the Mid Sussex Design Review Panel have granted unanimous approval to Nexus Planning and Frontier Estates for a 67-bed care home in Haywards Heath.

The plans for the Bolnore Road site will involve the demolition of an existing residential property to make way for the care home scheme, which has been designed to cater for residents in need of high dependency care. The delivery of the project will also help to address the significant need for care bed spaces in the area.

The planning application was coordinated, prepared and submitted by Nexus Planning, as was the public and stakeholder engagement, on behalf of Frontier Estates. The wider team included Broadway Malyan, Curtins Consulting, i-transport and Tim Moya Associates.

Peter Tooher, executive director at Nexus Planning Manchester, said: “It is rewarding to have assisted Frontier Estates on another much-needed care project. The Bolnore Road project makes a welcome addition to Nexus Planning’s growing portfolio of later living projects across the business.”

Damian Wood, Development Director at Frontier Estates, added: “Frontier are delighted to have received planning permission for this new 67 bed care home in Haywards Heath. The home will provide 67 fully en-suite bedrooms, a range of facilities and spacious communal areas, state-of-the-art amenities all surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens.”
