New Build-to-Rent residential community opens in central London

Renters heading back to the capital as restrictions lift could find just what they are looking for following the opening of a new residential community in central London. Park Central East and Park Central West have now opened their doors in Zone 1 and are set to revolutionise the way people regard renting in the vibrant capital.

The newly-launched multi-family management platform Living by Lendlease carries the motto ‘service is our signature’ and aims to provide a standard of renting and service not previously seen in the UK. It also pledges to look after the wellbeing of its residents and provide a hassle-free living experience.

The 2.5 acre site overlooking the leafy Elephant Park in vibrant Elephant & Castle consists of over 650 stylish apartments split across two new communities - the cool Scandi vibe of Park Central East or the art-deco glamour of Park Central West - each boasting glorious views, high-spec fittings, and an enviable range of on-site lifestyle amenities. Renters can choose from a range of property types, from spacious studies to three-bed apartments.

The properties have also been fitted with floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning views over London’s skyline, as well as a private terrace. In addition, residents are free to decorate the properties and add their own personal touches to make it feel like theirs. Every apartment features underfloor heating, roller shades with blackouts in the bedrooms, extra closet space, a full suite of modern, black integrated Grundig appliances, and wood floors throughout. Pets are also welcome, as Living by Lendlease recognises the changing needs of renters over recent times.

The site's amenities include a 24-hour gym with state-of-the-art Technogym equipment, a co-working space, cinema screening room, private dining room, various lounges, reading nooks, and games rooms - all of which is fully included in the monthly rent. Monthly events such as movie nights, wine and food tastings, supper clubs and art and interior design classes are also available.

Residents also benefit from a 24-hour maintenance guarantee and a skilled professional team on hand to deal with any issues, while a resident portal is provided to give hints and tips about everything in the new home.

Stephanie Barbabosa, head of build to rent at Living by Lendlease, said: “At a time when people are making big decisions about how they want to live in the future, we believe we can provide them with a community that is attuned to their desires. Our apartments and amenities are all designed to fit the lifestyle our customers want, and our onsite teams are trained to a service standard not previously seen in the UK market. Elephant & Castle is the perfect location for Park Central East and Park Central West as it is one of central London’s most exciting neighbourhoods and we’re proud to welcome residents to this new thriving community.”

Park Central East and Park Central West are just a short walk from an array of restaurants, cafes and independent stores within south London’s newest foodie hub, Elephant Park. A new multi-screen cinema is also planned for the area, together with a library and exhibition space and new offices.
