The Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML) warns that home repossessions will likely rise again in 2012. The group predicts that repossessions will increase from 40,000 in 2011 to 45,000 next year. The group further stated that mortgage rationing will remain in force through at least the end of next year, which is a practice that has been depressing property sales in the UK. New sales projections for 2011 will be lower than initially expected, coming in at 840,000.
