Sell and Rent Back – Prescription Charges to Rise

If you're in Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland, feel grateful – MSPs have scrapped your prescription charges. If you live in England, however, your prescription charges will go up by 20p to a total of £7.40 per item, beginning 1 April. Although the British Medical Associated has been calling to remove the charges altogether, the Department of Health claims that removing the charges for England would simply cost too much.
